Processing Notes for Modified Tokachi-Oki records All acceleration records provided in UnScaledTokachiTH, ModifiedTokachiTH, and StochasticTH were adjusted using the following procedures: (1) baseline-corrected; (2) cosine tapered for 5% of the signal length at the front and back end; (3) zero-padded with 80s pads on both ends of the records; (4) modified to adjust spectral content using the polynomial functions as described in Atkinson and Macias (for the modified records only); (5) acausally Butterworth filtered (4th order) from 0.1-40 Hz. The zero pads are retained in the acceleration output to allow double-differentiation to obtain velocity and displacement. Thus the actual signal begins near the 80 s mark. Note that frequencies <0.2 Hz are unreliable (due to filter at 0.1Hz).
